FAQ
-
We're an outdoor activity centre and beautiful meeting spot in rural Lincolnshire. We have ropes courses, archery, mini golf and activities for young children. Free parking and the friendliest, most helpful team you can imagine. The ropes course is a high wire forest adventure, like an obstacle course up high in the trees. We harness you up, and then you take a trip high in the trees. We've got zip lines, and over 87 individual elements with 22 zip lines. It’s a complete experience.
-
Minimum age is 6 for tree top activities. The Challenge Course we recommend for 8 and older but we have had many 6 year olds complete it. Young children who are under 140cm will have to be accompanied by someone taller than 140cm (any age though) to help them with their safety hook at each tree point around the course.
-
There are no height restrictions so anyone of any height can take part in the tree top adventure and zip lines. If you are under 140cm tall, you just need to be accompanied by someone over that height. If they are young or not used to being at height we recommend an adult.
-
No problem! Anyone over 140cm can help slide the safety hook around at each tree point. This can be of any age, sibling, friend, parents etc. Someone who is confident can usually help 2 or 3 smaller ones around the courses.
-
Basics are £25 for the original Wild Ropes Course and £35 for the Challenge Course & Zip Course (includes Wild Ropes Course). It is £15 for Archery but we have lots and lots of other things available. Prices for people who arrive on the day will vary - speak to a member of staff on the day for more information.
-
Absolutely, just come anytime we are open and enjoy everything we have.
-
There is a weight limit of 17 stone (108kg). However, anyone from the age of 6 can use the course. Our harnesses have a maximum hip/waist size of 49" - 125cm.
-
We suggest you wear something you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Dress for the weather so bring something waterproof if its raining. Please wear appropriate footwear with soles with good grips. Long hair should be tied back too. There is a higher risk of getting a scrape or bump while wearing shorts too.
-
Wild Pines Park has an exceptional safety record and exceeds all of the European safety standards (EN 15567 parts 1 and 2).
-
No, you can turn up on the day but booking is highly recommended.

This is an extension of the first course. Everyone must complete the first course before going on it. It is higher and harder than our other courses. With all courses combined it is over 1050m long and is one of the most challenging and longest ropes courses in the country. Expect to be in the trees for a long time!
-
It’s nothing but zip lines, no obstacles or wobbly sections. A small ladder climb at the very start and then you get up to 10m via platforms that spiral upwards. Then you whizz down the zip lines!
-
No, not at all. Just come and enjoy our amazing woodland, watch from below and perhaps take the beautiful woodland walk while you are here.
-
Just click on our booking page, select a time and date, put all your details in and when you get to the payment page select gift vouchers instead of the standard payment method. Don’t put the code into the promo code box otherwise it will say ‘invalid’!
-
Ideal group sizes are between 1 and 14 people for the ropes course and between 4 and 15 for archery. We can cater for all group sizes but please contact us for specific details. If there are less than 8 people we may join you with another small group. However, if you don't want to be part of another group please let us know. We are happy to discuss your requirements by phone, email or on a site visit.
-
We'll advise you when you book, but about 15 minutes before the booking time, just enough time to see the site, get to the loo and get ready for harnessing!
-
Usually no, however from time to time when we have multiple groups on site there maybe occasions when photography is not permitted. We will let you know on the day when you arrive if this is the case.
-
Depends on what you're booked in for and group size, but between 90 minutes and 3 hours. Our advice is to enjoy it and not try and beat the record time around the course. If there is time and no-one else waiting (and at the instructors discretion!), you can go around again and again but there is a maximum of 3 hours for multiple goes.
-
You get the time to complete one lap of each course and you can take as long as you like. The longest people have taken is well over 4 hours to do everything. We never rush anyone to finish. The average though is about 2 & 1/2 hours.
-
Not to worry, it does happen from time to time and you can be rescued and brought down safely at any point on the course. We do encourage everyone to finish it as often when people are brought down they want to get straight back up again!
-
Yes of course you can, spectators are more than welcome.
-
Yes, we have picnic benches, after you've finished a course you can sit back and relax in the wood with your picnic.
-
Yes! We have a variety of free activities on site and plan to have more in the future.
-
You just dangle in the harness, that’s what they're there for! Then you can either get yourself back up or we can help you, its quite easy!
-
It doesn't stop. Its entirely up to you, if you see its going to be wet and decide you don't want to do it, as long as you give us 7 days notice, we can reschedule. The only times we stop running courses is during very high winds and thunderstorms.
-
Ropes courses at night are truly special. You’ll be given an enhanced safety brief, a head torch and experience the ropes courses at Wild Pines like you have never done before. Enhanced monitoring will be in place as well as special procedures to ensure everyone has the best time. You get two hours on our practice courses, Wild Ropes Course and our zip line course (no challenge course at night). Annual pass members get this at a reduced rate.
-
We need 7 days notice for a full refund. Bookings of more than 10 people will require 14 days notice. However having said that, just get in contact with one of the team and we will see if we can work something out, no promises though!
-
Yes, but all dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and any mess cleared up after them. We very much welcome responsible dog owners. We even have our very own dog cafe called Pippins Cafe with water and treats!
-
Yes you can, we have lots of benches scattered throughout the woodland. Please respect the woodland by leaving it as you found it. We regularly conduct site wide litter picks and it would be much appreciated if rubbish was placed in our beautiful hand painted bins!
-
The site has a strict site wide ban on any naked flames unless written prior authorisation has been given. No cooking equipment of any kind, no bonfires, no lighters or smoking is permitted. You may be asked to leave if you do not adhere to this.
-
You don't have to be super fit to complete the course but if you break into a sweat walking up stairs, then you'll break into a sweat on the ropes course. Its reasonably energetic, you’re not on a travellator but then that’s why you're here!

Please give us as much notice as possible by emailing or calling us on our office number 01673 842724 and leave a message. Please note that bookings less than 7 days away are unlikely to be able to be rearranged.
